Here we go again... Vogue Italia is under scrutiny for the latest cover story, "Haute Mess." Models were photographed in dramatic, yet unsavory wardrobe, exaggerated make-up and colorful, outlandish hairstyles. Many believe that the spread pokes fun at the Black and Latino cultures. It doesn't stop there... Some models posed with or around junk food or fast food believed to be associated with the cultures.

Is that Louis V on her shadow???
I have two very different opinions about this shoot, but I'll let you be the judge...
This is offensive on some many levels.... While the style is a bit bold for my taste, I don't appreciate the cultural references.
ReplyDeleteExactly how I feel! It's absurd how these articles get published before anyone realizes how insulting it is. It's a double-edged sword, but it has got to stop! We shouldn't be dealing with in 2012!
